I recognize that passage from Paul Bowles, “The Sheltering Sky”, a fantastic novel. This particular excerpt was quoted by Brandon Lee (son of Bruce Lee) just prior to his accidental on-set death. Lee had chosen this quote to be included in his upcoming wedding invitations; it is now inscribed on his tombstone. #The Book Club 📚
