This is one of the few books that I feel comfortable recommending to friends of any political stripe, any religious affiliation, any predisposition. It's hard to give a short summary--really, and I don't say this lightly, it's a must-read book. But I will try to summarize one of the key points. If we see those we disagree with as people who must be dominated, then our nation is hastening down a path of no return, and that path leads to fracture.
"the other side is bad" books usually dominate the best sellers list. David French calls us to be better than we want to be.
